Why Do I Still Shoot .45?

March 30, 2017|Competition, Handgun, Kit, Training

Often when I’m seen using a .45 caliber pistol in class people will often ask me “Why are you still shooting .45? Don’t you know the 9mm has been shown to be better?”. My typical answer is usually along the lines of “Because I want to.” In all honesty there is nothing wrong with shooting a .45 caliber pistol if it meets your goals and you are able to use it well. I shoot .45 caliber pistols because it makes major power factor in USPSA competitions, we see students shooting the caliber all the time, a shift to .45 is a potential with my primary employer, and simply put; I want to.

In closing, shoot what you want and have fun doing so.

Until next time……….
